Which hair-removal laser should I choose?

Hair-removal lasers have become an ever-bigger part of our lives. More and more women want to get rid of razors and waxing strips. The choices of technologies and devices are many, but which is the ideal hair-removal laser for me?

Diode laser (810nm)

Do you have darker skin, rarely burn in the sun and tan very easily? Then the diode laser is the right method for you! It can be used fearlessly even in summer, making sessions comfortable and especially safe. Diode lasers offer high effectiveness while reducing unwanted side effects. In recent years they have become “the gold standard” for hair removal worldwide.

Alexandrite laser (755nm)

The best-known hair-removal laser, the Alexandrite, with devoted fans. It was approved by the FDA for hair removal in 1997 in the USA. Compared with other lasers it is better absorbed by melanin. People with fair skin who are not particularly exposed to the sun during summer are ideal candidates. In areas with fine hair it is removed far more easily. Its spot size is small, making applications on the most delicate areas easier, ideal for small areas such as the face.

ND-YAG laser (1064nm)

The best laser choice for darker skin types, because it has deeper penetration and low absorption by melanin, which makes it completely safe! Ideal for deeply rooted hair, such as on the head and underarms.
