Deep facial cleansing in summer: is it allowed?
Alexandra Gianni · Aesthetician – Cosmetologist

“Can I really have a deep facial cleansing in summer?” The short answer is yes.
A deep cleansing can be performed during the summer months too, as long as it is done at the right time and the appropriate aftercare is followed.
After a professional deep cleansing, the skin shows a mild and temporary sensitivity, as the skin barrier needs a little time to fully recover. For this reason, during the first days after the treatment it is important to protect the skin from intense sun exposure, to use sunscreen daily and to maintain proper hydration.
In practice, this means that a deep cleansing needs proper planning. If you are going to spend many hours at the beach or be strongly exposed to the sun, it is preferable to schedule the treatment a few days before or after, so the skin has the time it needs to recover.
Every skin has different needs
Although there are general rules, every skin reacts differently.
For example, an oily skin type has different needs and a different recovery time compared with sensitive skin or skin with rosacea. That is why every treatment is preceded by an assessment of the skin, so that the right protocol can be chosen safely.
Equally important is how well we can follow the aftercare instructions. Correct use of sunscreen, hydration and avoiding prolonged sun exposure during the first days contribute significantly to the final result of the treatment.
The Aestheticare approach
At Aestheticare, deep cleansing is not treated as a simple skin-cleansing procedure. Every treatment is tailored to the needs of each skin. At the same time, we combine protocols such as enzymatic cleansing and the use of gentle chemical peels, in order to deliver the best possible result.
The deep cleansing is completed with Dermalux LED Phototherapy, a light therapy that helps soothe the skin, reduce redness and speed up the restoration of the skin barrier.
This way, the skin is not only cleansed in depth: its natural regeneration process is supported as well, offering a more complete result. Proper care continues after the treatment too.
